I’m often asked about the inspiration for my artwork. When I was younger it was definitely more physical and visual. What I saw was what I drew or painted. As the work has evolved (and I have aged) it is driven more by other senses… sounds, textures, and perhaps most by feeling and emotion. The color in an object or landscape is more apt to inspire than the physical presence or shape.

Deciding the title of a piece is sometimes as much fun as its creation. Though some seem nonsensical, they all convey an idea or driving force that brought the piece into being. That my artwork (including the title) might evoke an emotion or memory is my want. It is not important that it be the same feeling that caused its conception.
